This Season’s Staples: The New Black Pump

This Season’s Staples: The New Black Pump
I hope you all enjoyed reading my first installment of our newest series here on LaurenConrad.com last month: This Season’s Staples. In case you missed it, I wrote about my favorite sweater style of the season and shared some shopable options, too.

In the second installment of this series, I’ll be showing you the new black pump of the season. Before we shot this look at our fashion photo shoot, I got together with my editorial team to discuss some of the new classic staples of this season, and one of them was an on-trend pair of black pumps. Every girl needs a trusty, go-to pair of black heels in her closet. (And in fact, you can never go wrong with having multiple pairs!) I have worn my pointed-toe black pumps and my platform stiletto black pumps down to their soles (and even had to get them re-soled recently).

So, in our search for a new updated style of black pumps, we settled on a black patent Mary Jane. Keep reading to see the outfit we came up with and find out why I love this style of Mary Jane pumps right now…

I personally love this shoe silhouette for a few different reasons. Not only is it versatile (you can wear it to work, to drinks with friends, to special events…), but it’s also a little more special than your average black heel. The two delicate straps around the ankle and over the foot add a feminine touch, and I’ve always loved a shoe with a pointed toe.

The shoes I’m wearing above are by Neil J. Rodgers (similar here), my dress is by Suno (similar here) and my rings are by Samantha Wills. My lip color is Tom Ford’s Something Wild.
