I don’t know about you, but I’m a fan of decorating for the winter holidays after Thanksgiving. Walking into stores in mid-October only to be ambushed by faux snow, red bows and life-size wreaths is a bit ridiculous. Whatever happened to living in the moment? Needless to say, now that it’s officially December, I think it’s entirely appropriate to finally deck the halls for the holidays!

Without further ado, here are a few of my favorite holiday décor ideas courtesy of your fellow LaurenConrad.com members and a few my favorite websites…

I’m a sucker for glittery things, which is why I adore Martha Stewart’s Glittered Deer Table Decorations:

Holiday Special: Deck the Halls

I love the smell of pinecones and this idea from Sweet Paul is a brilliant way to incorporate them into your home during the winter season:

This idea comes from member Sarah Teutsch. Wrap up surfaces, such as your fireplace mantle, to add a fun but festive touch to your room:

I like to mix in fun colors for the holidays. While red, white and green may reign supreme, these multi-color DIY Seed Bead Ornaments via Kaboose are an easy way to add some extra color to your holiday:

Try grouping together your favorite holiday themed accessories like nutcrackers, jars of festively colored candy and mini tress to create a gorgeous yet cheerful wintertime table spread:

Make a pretty centerpiece wreath like member Petra Zeller featured on her blog, Sweets of Life:

I was at Anthropologie a few days ago and spotted the cutest idea that would be very easy to replicate at home: Mason Jar Snow Globes! I think it might be cute to use the Glittered Deer Table Decorations as alternative filler:

When it comes to holiday décor, I go by the philosophy “the sparklier, the better,” which doesn’t always mean glitter has to be in the mix. When I came across Hayeseed Homemakin’s DIY for Firefly Christmas Lights, it was love at first sight:

Every year I like to make my own wreath for the door. I spotted this sweet idea to add the house number on Teach Craft Love and am planning to make my very own Front Door Wreath this weekend:

I am definitely going to do the snowglobe! I really like all the ideas thou.

These are great! i am going to make a couple of the ones you posted such as the table reindeer accessories, and the wreath! Thanks so much!

I made the Glitter Deer Table Decorations, except I used different animals, and made them into tree ornaments. I used silver and gold extra fine glitter, and basic Elmer's glue. LOVED making them too.

So I got pretty excited by the whole make your own wreath idea... I made one for inside as a decoration for my "white" christmas illusion dinner party (I live in Australia we try to create the illusion of cold in the heat of summer) So far it is a hit with my friends... check it out what do you think?  ... http://www.laurenconrad.com/photo/view/36415/3158/14203/1
