If you’re like me, you’re probably sick of all the Valentine’s Day talk…that’s why I’m going to give February a new wrap: Fearless February! This month, I want to encourage all of you to take risks. Do things that are outside your comfort zone. Not only will it reinvigorate your sense of adventure, it will also charge you with a renewed sense of confidence for the New Year. Throughout the month I’ll share some daring experiences that truly changed my world for the better. First up? Skydiving.
Fearless February: To Infinity & Beyond!
I’ve been skydiving twice. And I cannot wait to go again! The first time I went because we were shooting Laguna Beach (the footage ended up in the bonus scenes, which I included below). I remember being petrified on the way up. I was more concerned about the janky plane we were in rather than the actual jump. But all that changed when it was my turn to jump. I won’t sugar coat it: It’s completely terrifying when you’re at the edge about to jump. I felt like a cat going into a bath… I don’t care how fearless you are; it’s absolutely nerve-wracking. But the second you jump, everything changes. It doesn’t even feel like you’re falling. Really! It’s just really loud and really windy. You free fall for what seems like only a few seconds and before you know it, the parachute is pulled and everything goes silent as you slowly fall back to Earth. The views are spectacular and I think it is an experience everyone should try at least once (if you’re not deathly afraid of heights). If you haven’t seen the deleted bonus footage yet, I found a clip online so you could get a sense of what it’s like (and please, don’t mind the hair…or those glasses):

Have you been skydiving? If not, do you want to go?

XO Lauren

I went skydiving for the first time last year. Watching this video made me want to go again maybe land on the beach this time. The feeling you get from jumping out of a plane is INSANE, but it is so much fun! http://www.laurenconrad.com/photo/view/29749/4056/19322/1

I have been sky diving!! I went for my 18th birthday. I was terrified before going because i have a fear of heights, but I went anyways. It was so much fun!! I was like okay going to do this. I just listen to what the instructor told me. Still it was a nice rush for my. the landing was fun.

Definitely not something I would think of you (Lauren) doing, but its very cool & I think you're very brave for doing it more than once!

Lauren, did that guy covered your mouth when you jumped?! Why do they do that?

I'd love to go, but just one question.... HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GNA LAND?!
