wore a crewneck with a cute necklace today! haha :)
Move aside v-necks, this season it’s all about the crewneck. Crewneck sweaters that is… I’ve always loved this classic cut sweater because of its versatility. By definition, a crewneck must have a plain rounded, “collarless neckline.” They can be worn with jeans for a relaxed, laidback look, paired with a sparkly bib necklace for an understated take on glam or layered over an oxford for a preppy, uptown vibe. Regardless of how you wear them, crewnecks are a must-have style staple in my book.
I actually designed a few variations for my Paper Crown line as well as my LC Lauren Conrad collection for Kohl’s. Here are a few outfit ideas I put together around my favorite crewnecks:
Alice + Olivia Louise Pleat Skirt, Kate Spade Meadowsweet Bib Necklace, LC Lauren Conrad Pointelle Sweater

Paper Crown Pisarro Lace Shorts, A.P.C. Striped Merino Sweater, Max & Chloe Bellissima Necklace, Candela Wedge Booties

LC Lauren Conrad Crochet Sweater, Topshop Moto Skinny Jeans, Michael Kors Jet Set Watch, H&M Ballet Flats
What are your thoughts on the crewneck trend? Do or don’t?

Loving this trend...especially with chunky necklaces!
We love all three looks so much! A crewneck is a classic, we couldn't agree more - it should be a staple in every girl's closet. Funny, becuase we actually did a post on Audrey Hepbrun a few weeks back and a crewneck was totally a staple in her style. Check out our post.

I love crew necks! While I'm not necessarily someone that cares a lot about necklines in particular, most of my shirts are crew necks and V-necks now that I think about it...

i've been obsessed with crewnecks lately!
I say a do do!

I have fallen deeply, madly in love with camel clothing this year. (I’m actually wearing a knit camel sweater as I write this blog!) You’d think I’ve never seen the rich color before. There’s something so dashing about it that I adore for daytime wear. It exudes an air of practical elegance, which I absolutely love. Instead of grey and black, this buff color is the perfect hue to update your wardrobe with. Not only is this golden-beige tone a universally flattering color, it also lends a romantic feel for fall and winter. Camel is also incredibly versatile and it can be worn year-round. Who knew?
One of my favorite things in my closet right now is a nude-colored oversize chunky knit cardigan. I wear it with everything—jeans, maxi dresses—you name it… Lately I’ve been loving head-to-toe camel. It’s a fun way to work the monochrome trend while adding a little length to your torso. Camel pieces also look fabulous paired with bold look-at-me garments, like the red pants and beige top in this photo.
Personally, I think it’s best to invest in camel pieces with minimal silhouettes. Streamlined looks are easier to work into your closet and it will keep you looking fresh and elegant. Pair a camel coat with a pencil skirt and glossy heels for a polish office look, or work a taupe dress with black tights and a bold lip for a night on the town.
Think of camel as the new black. Wear it with everything—stripes, color, neutrals, prints… When you’re working with buff, the possibilities are endless!
Here are a few of my favorite camel-colored pieces from my collections…
What do you think about my camel craving? How do you work it into your wardrobe?

Fashion never sleeps. No one proves this better than the one and only Carrie Bradshaw. If you’re a true Carrie fan like me, then you’ve watched her don a pair of men’s briefs in bed and prance around her apartment (and rush through NYC) in adorable pajama sets. While your 9 to 5 might not parallel Carrie’s day job, you can get your dream on á la Bradshaw.
Sleep in style by slipping into one of these bedtime favorites before hitting the sheets… I promise, you will feel like your life just got a bit more Bradshaw.
Camisole Set. I love the Vintage Slumber Swiss Dot Pajama Set I designed for my LC Lauren Conrad collection for Kohl’s. The delicate neckline on the cami is pretty and the matching boy shorts complete the look for easy sleeping. These sets are especially great for those of you who dream beside a significant other… They’re cute and far from frumpy!
Chemise Me. End your evening on a fashionable note by changing into a chemise, such as the Vintage Slumber Rosette Chemise I designed for Kohl’s. The stretchy material and the dress-like cut make it comfortable and easy to wear. Talk about sleeping stylishly…
Box-her Set. For me, one of my favorite things to change into after a long day of work is a comfy pair of boxer shorts and a soft camisole. The Vintage Slumber Bird Pajama Shorts and the Vintage Slumber Tiered Camisole make for a seriously dreamy pairing…
Dreamy Capris. When temperatures drop, cropped sleep pants are ideal since they don’t bunch up too much under the covers and you won’t get too hot either. The Vintage Slumber Stripped Pajama Capris and the Vintage Slumber Tiered Dot Top is the perfect set for fall. (Capri sets are ideal for sleepovers and college dorm living too.)
While old t-shirts might seem like a good choice, they are just not going to cut it. Your style is reflected in everything you do, so sleep fashionable and dream beautifully!
Speaking of sleep, what’s your pre-bedtime ritual?

Nothing gets me motivated for bikini season like flipping my calendar over to May. The distant smell of sunscreen, ocean and barbeque are nearing, which means it’s time to stock up on fresh new swimwear. It also means I’ll be barraged with dozens of questions from panic stricken friends… What bathing suit is right for me? Should I go trendy or classic?
Well friends, hold your breath because I have you covered with these easy tips for picking the right swimsuit for your body along with my selections for the season’s hottest suits.
Here, I’ll go over which cuts are flattering for your body shape and have listed my favorite suits for each type…
If you’re athletic or boy-shaped… Choose a suit with details at the bust such as ruffles, bows or side ties to add curves. Girly prints and strapless numbers with skimpier cut bottoms also work well for this shape.

If you’re petite or flat chested… Go for slim cuts, bigger prints or vertical stripes to add height and size. If you prefer suits with embellishment, err on the side of small and go for daintier accents.

If you’re pear shaped… Pick a suit with high-cut bottoms and a low-v neckline, such as a string bikini. Also darker colored bottoms with lighter shaded or printed tops work wonders by drawing the eye upwards.

If you’re tall or lanky… Get a swimsuit with some ruffle or bow details to create the illusion of curves. Horizontal stripes and booty-shorts work well too.

If you’re curvy or have a little pooch… Opt for a suit with ruched details and a deep-v neckline. Wide straps or darker side panel details will also help slim you down! Otherwise, small prints are great since they work well to camouflage.

If you’re really busty… Patterned bikinis are the way to go. Just make sure you grab a suit with underwire or a thick band below the bust to ensure support. No need to give fellow sunbathers an impromptu peep show.

If you have an hourglass figure… Plunging necklines and tie sides will flatter your figure best. But, luckily for you, any style is a go (you can thank your mother for that)!
