I thought it would be fun to do The Fame Game as our next LaurenConrad.com Book Club read. This way, you guys can ask me questions about the characters or storyline and I can ask you your thoughts on the book as well! What do you think? 

For those of you who are going to participate, read up to chapter 14 by Wednesday, May 30th if you want to participate in my first question and answer post. And be sure to tune in on the 30th because I will also be letting you know the date of my live chat about the book.

I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled I am about this book. Although it was truly a labor of love, it was well worth the hard work. My number one goal when putting Lauren Conrad BEAUTY together was to make it your go-to guide for all things beauty. This book is an opportunity for me to pass on all the things I've learned along the way (and share some of my missteps). In the book you will find everything from my favorite beauty tips and tricks to step-by-step tutorials and more. I hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Lauren Conrad BEAUTY will hit stores in the on October 16th of this year, which happens to be the same release date as my next book in The Fame Game trilogy, Starstruck!

Melissa said, "My biggest fashion/beauty dilemma is my hair! I can never seem to get it right and I usually still to the flat iron or pulled back pony style! Sometimes I debate getting hair extensions because the length of my hair only goes to my shoulders. I have attempted to braid my hair but I always screw it up! I need to have some sort of lessons or something from a salon. I would love to attempt the chunky high bun but my hair is too short! Help!!"

Alissa said, "My biggest fashion dilemma is finding jeans that are low rise but don't give me a "muffin top", or "love handles" (yes, even small girls get this ladies). I love low rise skinny jeans but sometimes when they are so tight, they push everything up!"

Rebecca said, "My biggest fashion dilemma is that I am always staying safe. Nine times out of ten, I will navigate towards an outfit that I have already worn or a color combo that I wear a lot. I go with what is easy, when I want to step out of my comfort zone, I always ask my mom or sister for help. I would just like to do it by myself. A few days ago, I found a sketchpad while organizing. And you wouldn’t believe what I uncovered… Inside was one of the original concepts I had sketched for my first L.A. Candy cover (below).

Before we settled on using candy for the cover image, we considered photographing a girl instead. Needless to say, I’m really pleased with our decision to use the candy—it leaves more to the imagination. But there is a part of me that loved this idea as well. Anyway, I just thought you guys might enjoy seeing the alternative cover idea…
