Beauty Essential: My Hair Care Ammo
There are two hair products I absolutely cannot live without: Soy Tri-Wheat Leave-In Conditioner and Moroccan Oil. I use them ritually and am always happy with the results: lustrous, hydrated, and healthy hair.

I use the Soy Tri-Wheat Leave-In Conditioner after I wash my hair. It leaves it soft and smelling pretty yummy. Next, I apply a small amount of Moroccan Oil to the ends of my hair before blow drying it. The oil smoothes out my hair without weighing it down. Plus, it’s also great for flyaways too!

What are your must have hair products?

Hey Lauren, I just wanted to say that I admire you. Your fashion sense and style are amazing. I used to use the Moroccan oil but because I have black hair it made my hair look oily and greasy, but I now use "It's a 10 miracle with Keratin", and it is absolutely amazing. It makes my hair super soft and shiny. It also smells amazing which is a plus.

I wish I had somegood ammo to share... alas, I have super fine hair that has NO body... like Chloe, even when using styling products and "helmet" hairspray, curls loose their bounce before I leave the house. By the time I get home, any remnants of curls have long since disappeared.

Emma, I concur with your suggestion of not using conditioner... and if there's a specific product you'd recommend, I'm open to trying just about anything :-)

I use Ojon. They have a 2min hydrating mask for hair and an ojon oil treatment that I leave in over night and wash out the next day. I love using there ojon hair oil serum, I take 3 drop and rub it all over focusing on the ends and blow dry my hair. I have really curly hair but it blows out smooth (yay me!), this product line saved my hair.  Sometimes use Argan oil in my hair or morrocan oil, i find for myself the more naturel the product (sulfate free etc...) the better my looks, feels and it grows better as well.

Living Proof Straight Making No Frizz Styling Cream. I have long, thick hair, so it does WONDERS to my hair. Especially if I were to travel from a very dry to a very humid environment. Gets my frizzes out!

Trifecta = Living Proof Shampoo + Conditioner + Styling Cream

Im currently using the leave in-conditioner lauren uses and its amazing! I got a great deal and bought the shampoo also it smells great and leaves my hair shiny and so healthy looking!:)

Has anyone tried WEN conditioning shampoo?

Coconut oil, leave in over night and wash out the next day, styling your hair as usual! :)

My favorite dry shampoo and how to make a super full top-knot!

Flowers in Hair

When I was a little girl I used to make flower crowns by stringing daisies together. I’d wear them all day long until they wilted and then it was time to make another. I was in love with those pretty little daisy crowns, so you can imagine how pleased I was when I started noticing their comeback...

Chic Peek

I took this self-portrait during a website shoot. You might have seen the final photo here on the homepage or in a post on TheBeautyDepartment.com. We wanted to do a shot with flowers in my hair and Kristin (my hairstylist), ended up putting an entire bouquet on top of my head. It seemed so silly at the time, but after hearing “just trust me” about twenty times that day, I let her do it and the photo actually turned out to be pretty.

Just thought this would be a fun little Chic Peek blog showing you a little bit of the behind-the-scenes action...

Speaking of flowers in hair, what do you think about the trend? Anyone interested in a flower wreath tutorial?
