We love a prim and preppy look for daytime, which is why we adore member Simmy P’s cursory combination of the two in this winning workday ensemble.

Chic of the Week: Simmys Preppy Perfection

We love that she perfected the rosy frock with delightful details—the neutral toned flats, paired with the structured tote and belt give the look a clean, polished look; the stacked bangles and jean jacket keep it young and fresh. And don’t even get us started on her adorable cap-toe flats. She gives new meaning to pretty in pink!

Judging by her photos, Simmy’s an old pro when it comes to dressing her best. Check out her other looks here. We are so thrilled to dub her this week’s Chic of the Week! Congratulations, Simmy!

We have a penchant for anything dainty and delicious, and these delicate DIY Yogurt Kisses, featured on One Good Thing by Jillee, definitely fit the bill.

The instructions are easy as 1-2-3 and the result looks like a healthy and refreshing way to satisfy your sweet tooth. All you need is your favorite flavored yogurt, a plastic bag, and a cookie sheet and in about an hour they’re ready to eat!

To make these pretty little treats, simply follow these easy steps:

  1. Spoon your flavored yogurt of choice into your plastic bag.

    yogurt snack

    Good Eats: Yogurt Kisses

  2. Cut a small hole in the corner of the filled bag, then squeeze dots onto your cookie sheet and place in the freezer.

    yogurt snack
  3. Wait about one hour, and enjoy!

We can’t wait to make this a snack time standard for balmy summer days!

Cheers!

We love discovering sweets and treats from within the LC.com community so if you have your own DIY Good Eats, please share it with us!

Chic of the Week: Steph’s Stylish Prom Look

When it comes to prom dresses, finding the perfect little number is no easy feat. You want something original and fun that makes you look and feel great all night long which can be a hard balance to strike. So when we set our sights on LaurenConrad.com user Steph’s pretty prom ensemble, we were so impressed!

We adore the soft ivory color that’s perfect for spring, but that goes without saying. The length and one-shoulder cut make this BCBG frock fun and young, while the structured bodice and draping make it incredibly flattering. We also love the sleek pony and minimal accessories – simple and beautiful. Tres chic! She has a great photograph with her friends too (who also look lovely)—check it out here. Congratulations, Steph, on being our new Chic of the Week

What are you wearing to prom this year? And, if you’ve already had your prom, show us by uploading a photo and leaving the link in the comments below.

Have a fabulous weekend!

We’re all about getting crafty here are the LaurenConrad.com headquarters. Give us an old cheese grater, and we’ll make it an earring holder. We like to think of ourselves as a squad of fashionable MacGyvers (emphasis on "fashionable"). That said, when we stumbled upon member Supartita’s insanely awesome recycled DIY Eath Day projects, we decided we had to share her amazing ideas with you…

Supartita’s first Earth Day project transformed old soda bottles into paper clip organizers. Love it!

For her other project, she recycled old fast food containers and made them into beauty organizers. How’s that for thinking outside the box?

Do you have any creative DIYs that recycled old, used goods? If so, share your ideas in the comments below. Or better yet—upload a photo tutorial like Supartita did to your LaurenConrad.com profile page for a chance to be featured on the website.

We’re a little bit obsessed with peplums right now. Not only were they peppered throughout dozen’s of designer’s Spring 2012 collections, they’re also feminine, chic, and the best way to cover up the bloat of an overindulgent brunch (woops). When we spotted LaurenConrad.com member Casey Lynn’s peplum skirt and striped shirt, we had an instant style crush and knew she needed to be crowned the Chic of the Week

A few weeks ago we asked you show us what’s trending in terms of fashion in your hometown. We also promised that one lovely lady would be crowned Chic of the Week. Well, we got so many wonderful submissions that we did a Member Spotlight post to show off all the cool and creative styling ideas we found from all over the world. But we didn’t forget about the Chic of the Week

We are excited to announce that Rachel Sanders from the UK is our new Chic of the Week! Congrats! In response to our Fashion Abroad blog (say that ten times fast), Rachel shared the following photo with this caption: “Where I live in the UK everyone is currently wearing lots of bold prints! Whether that is tribal prints or florals or any other statement pattern!”

Chic of the Week

How adorable is her high-waisted skirt and mismatched stripped clutch combo? We are kind of drooling over it. (Note to self, must get a sage colored striped clutch, stat!) We love the whole look! To see more of Rachel’s stylish looks, click here and check out her amazing “Outfits” album.

How do you like to wear florals?

Have a great weekend!

Beauty Defined

Today’s Chic of the Week is Alexandra Dadisman. Congrats! We picked Alexandra because we absolutely loved her definition of beauty in response to Lauren’s blog post titled, Simply Smitten: I Believe in Pink. Quite frankly, picking one member to spotlight was nearly impossible because every comment was so touching and so true. Needless to say, Alexandra’s comment was especially touching. Here is what Alexandra left in the comments:

“Beauty is being the best possible version of yourself on the inside and out.”

Isn’t that wonderful? We couldn’t agree more!

Speaking of beauty, what product or piece of clothing do you feel most beautiful wearing? It can be anything—perfume, a silky dress or even your pajamas. Tell us in the comments below!

Have a fabulous weekend!
